The ZUIKO DIGITAL 40-150mm (35mm equivalent focal length: 80-300mm) is a compact, lightweight and reasonably priced telephoto lens. Its powerful 3.8 zoom makes it the ideal supplement to the 14-45mm lens.
Well, it's my time to say how good or bad. Now give autofocus is fast, it's fairly light, 3.5, 4.5 is faster than the kit lens. The picture quality is very particular, the focal length, razor-sharp at 60 to 90 mm with tripod. I am my E510 at Cameta Camera for only $ 129.

Adequate weight
(Metal mount) better than hard plastic

CONS
Not so good in low light and night
FrontBarrel turns to fire, not good for the circularly polarized
Minimum Focus Distance 1.5 meters in length.
Over all a good choice and should have lenses, the camera is the Olympus system, I would not worry too much about a tripod for the day of use.

If you have recently adopted a new "four thirds" Camera System (Olympus, Leica, Panasonic, purchased, etc.) and seeking his first telephoto lens, you can not go wrong with this book. E 'faster than the latest generation of 40 LOT – 150 mm lens, and is much better build quality. It works very well in hand held situations. Spend the extra money, and will not be disappointed!

I prefer to shoot people and indoors, so I could not justify too much of a zoom lens. This was a solid and reviews seems to be settlement price (as amended Out with the old?)
So why I chose to be disposed of (larger) than the latest model?
Compare:
Vecchio F3.5-4.5, has new F4.0-5.6.
Old weighs 15.75 oz/450g, New 7.8oz/220g
Old manages over $ 30 more (also on the basis marketlace)
Both have the same minimumFocal length: 40mm
Both have the same magnification, 12 x (old) and 14 (new)
Ancient dimensions: 4.21 "Length x 3" diameter
New Dimensions: 2.83 "Length x 2.58" diameter
The bottom line is that I wanted to be in a position of this to be used inside, so I paid more, and will weigh around twice as much.
A positive side is that my 14-42 kit lens is f5.6 @ 42mm, as this is f3.5 @ 40mm. Thus, it is more interior (lower light) with good portraitsblurred background.
The images are surprisingly sharp.
Very satisfied with my purchase.
