The Nikon D40 is the camera for you, if you're a beginner just arrived in the world D-SLR, or are an avid photographer. I was back in the world of photography, if I compare this camera months after camera. I chose Nikon not only because of its excellent reputation, but also the features, price, reliability and other opinions. 3 years later and after the game with many other cameras are still in love with my D40.
The camera is equipped with advanced features, allows to create beautiful photographs, whether it be on the fullautomatic settings, or am I the control settings. Additional elements, such as external flash mounts and lenses are available and they expect the same quality that big Nikon.
The camera is easy to use – especially after reading the manual and, although a DSLR, light enough to carry anywhere! The camera is also very quiet, especially compared to some of his party's competitive position. I was recently given a Canon Rebel XT to a corporate network, multi-session days to shoot. Compared toNikon, it was rather cumbersome to use and the shutter is very strong. I'll stick with my personal camera for the rest of the event.
One feature that I wanted to include a cleaner sensor. Unless the camera is full of useful features that allow you to beautiful images.

Great entry-level DSLR camera – David Ross – Austin, TX
I wanted my camera from a small point and shoot and a friend who actually update the photo, we recommend the Nikon D40. I bought an after-market Nikon zoom lens to go with him and could not be happier. Journey through the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas, just after Christmas, my wife and I took 800 + photos, and since then have created many albums. Very satisfied, and dealing with Amazon for this purchase was as simple as possible. Highly recommended.
first higher end camera – J.S. –
This is the first camera at the end at first I heard. The goal is included in my opinion, Quaility low as I first time I broke set the zoom level. I could not help me, so I took apart and repaired it after hearing that the issue was no longer in stock. Overall, I like the camera and I recommend to all those who travel by handheld cameras, how can I update in the past.
