The aperture settings from f/8 – f/32 retains a full range of exposure / depth of field settings, TTL metering, aperture priority automatic and manual metering capabilities of your camera. For tripod/monopod use, the rotatable tripod mount is positioned to provide optimum balance and rotates for quick and easy vertical format shooting. The included 2x teleconverter will double the focal length to 1000mm. I came to this goal, the thought, so what is the price rite.i read many bad reviews, but I played and bought. (the agreement). The bad reviews must come from point and shoot users. 35mm in the boy's old school, and had no problem compensating for the f8 fixed d40x.yes on my Nikon's dark, but as I said, if you know what yer doin a decent lens. The bag, roomy. Clean cool stuff, tripod, the weight even fight, because that goal, but it is ok for yer only perpetuateshot. I use a remote control, which helps a lot. I very rarely use a tripod, with the exception of my astro-photos, all shot with my Phoenix was held by hand or on my lap and I had no probs. Can anyone tell me how to get a picture here and I want to add.
