Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Standard Zoom Lens for Canon DSLR Cameras

Manufacturer Description Compact, lightweight and a wide magnification range–this standard zoom lens features a wide focal length range from normal to telephoto equivalent to 29-320mm in the 35mm format. It features an Optical Image Stabilizer for up to 4-stops of effective correction even at full zoom. Since Canon’s optical image stabilization system is in the lens, not in the camera, you can see the stabilized, steadier images through the viewfinder. And the circular aperture can give beautiful background blur effects. This new wide zoom ratio EF-S lens delivers excellent high-speed performance at an affordable price. Product Description

Good on paper & blogosphere, but “Lens Creep” is inexcusable…!!
Not knowing what to expect really from a lens in this day and age, you would think they would have it down to a science by now, but the Canon EF-S 18-200 IS telephoto lens seems…

    A must buy All-Purpose Lens
My brother recommended this lens when I was considering a start in the world of photography. When I checked the price I was shocked, but after reading almost every review on the…

    Canon’s 18-200 image stabilized zoom
So far, I am pleased with the performance of this zoom. After reading the reviews, I sold a 28-135 IS Canon zoom and an EX HSM Sigma 17-35 zoom.

    Decent walkaround
It is a decent walkaround lens and like with any lens with such a long range, it has its shortcomings at both ends.

    Great upgrade to kit lens
This lens extends the range of the kit zoom lens. Image stabilization is critical at long focal lengths without tripod.

Good single-lens solution, better than Tamron 18-270
I am very pleased with this lens on my 50d. Yes, it does have noticeable barrel distortion at the wide end (which decreases significantly by around 24mm) and chromatic aberration…

    An all around lens.
I have found this to be a very good choice for someone who wants a single lens to use in a wide variety of situations.

    Very good all-around lens
I purchased this lens to go with a Canon Xsi body. I was looking for an all around lens that would take good shots (see posted shots for this lens).

    very pleased!
nice upgrade from my 35-120mm. I have seen a significant difference in all my photos so far. Eventually will be upgrading to 200mm f2.8 and 400mm f2.8.
